In the US the closest cars that might have something like that are theLexus GS300 cars but I really don't know what transmissions came in those.

 

Since the MK-IV, SC300, & Soarers sit further back, it requires the shifter to sit a few inches back from the MK-III R154 position. Some of the earlier Soarers used a goose neck style shifter along with the mount posted above. Other later Soarers used a tripod like design with extended linkage (much like the V160).

To the OP, you won't be able to find the parts to do the swap anymore. The items are now completely discontinued from Japan.

 

There is a post somewhere on this forums about converting, just search for it. I think it had to do with modifying the R154 for a MKIV.

 

you need more then just the shifter housing you also need the shifter lever.

cant get them anywhere in America so good luck try calling austrila its +61+11 then the toyota dealer number.

see you are missing one part its more then just moving the housing back this is what i used for my sc300 r154

its a shifter for the soarer r154 ( HARD TO FIND ) notice how it comes about an extra inch back then the supra shifter.
