If you read the fine print, they say price includes all shipping, documentation and work performed to be compliant, and title and registration. If this is the real deal, it would be a fully legal Skyline?

Nice car, overpriced by $155K+ (including shipping, etc. etc.) but very nice.

So you honestly think that car is only worth 70k or so?
For a replica - especially one that doesn't actually exist, but will be 'built once the order is placed' - even that's too much. An ACTUAL Z-tune MIGHT, and I do mean MIGHT, be worth the asking price because of its low numbers/collector status

The car is basically a brand new car with some very high dollar parts, such as the trans. I am just guessing that you would have a hard time emulating the same car for less, at home. You may think it is too much, but I am willing to bet the cost is easily justifiable.

I know of a VERY well done Supra that has around $300K into it (including the car).

I'm a Supra "fanboy" but I don't think that Supra is worth $300K, it's not worth the $225K they are asking for this R34 either.

And I would take the Supra I'm talking about over this R34 any day of the week .

And I'm sure there are other Supras out there with tons of $$$$ into them.

I won't be shocked if some idiot pays close to that $225K for this car but it's not even close to worth it..........

$300k??? How in God's name is that even possible? I'm assuming multiple setups, multiple bodywork changes - the only car I can think of that might be close to that is the car that Sound Performance basically built into a brand new supra (including the cost of another supra to use just for the frame!)

I completely agree with the "no way in hell, I'd spend that for that". I am just talking about what it is worth in terms of all the associated costs involved. You can disagree, but price the parts and figure in the labor, and then all the legal and shipping costs.

Must be a cold day in hell cause i absolutely agree with Guilly. Why would i pay $225k for this car when i can get a brand new LP560 for this price? On the other hand the only way you can drop $300k in a supra is if you changed your setups multiple times. I have a little over $100k in my car (not including the car) and not sure how i can spend another $200k? And i have literally changed every part in this vehicle. I can definitely see dropping another $30k in a widebody, Motec etc. but that is about it. There is nothing else left in the car to be done.

I think that custom one-off parts, full rebuild, ect. could take it to that price. Labor can add up over a long period of time.

Also, if you had 220+ thousand dollars to spend on a Skyline, I am willing to bet you already have the Lambo or Ferrari?

A little bit of this and also things changed during the build.

After further thought the car I was talking about is closer $260K actually (including the car priced at say $30K). This includes labor (literally thousands of man hours as the car was in the shop for years).

Agreed. I wouldn't pay that much for it, but if you read the full article about this build, you would agree as well. All new hardware and components. Custom interior that is all alcantara. All anodized Ti fasteners. The list just goes on and on. Actual Z-tune carbon body panels. Its not some basic bolt on skyline, but is in fact a complete rebuild using only the best of the best.
