Sup guys. I have a black car with black racing seats. I'm shopping around for a racing harness (yes, I have a cage). Anyways, what color would you guys recommend? I was thinkin of blue or black harnesses, does anyone have pictures of each color on black seats? Is blue too much on a black/black car, or will black too bland?

Thanks for any opinions.

blue would look sick. I have a Recaro seat with a blue simpson harness and it is totaly sick. Momma always said blue and black dont go together, but lets not let are mommas rule our lives!

Steve

P.S. get a royal blue one, there better

Thanks. A bright blue harness would definitely stand out and compliment the racing seat as well as accent the interior.

Keep 'em coming. I want to hear as many opinions on this. It seems that half of Supra owners go for the stealthy/stock look and the other half are a little bit more on the "show scene" side. I guess it's a generation gap or something.

If you have cash try out the Takata racing harness that only comes in green. They look BADASS! But paying nearly $800 for the pair is nuts.

Everything in my interior is black, except for some chrome pedals. I really can't carry out the black/chrome theme with the harness unless I get them in black. But I also have black seats and it might not do anything to the interior look wise.

I still say blue. Blue, Crome, and black is not a bad combo. Go for the blue and black seat deal. It will really bring out your interior.

Not bad but i dont like that massive takita logo on it. Its way to big and looks mad japanese or something. I dont like it, color is cool though:D

I got black Sparco torinos with blue sparco harness on a black car!!!
Looks great, I also have the black "sparco pads" on the harnesses to dim the blue color a bit and for some comfort ;)
If you go blue: paint your brake calibers blue to, that makes some harmony over the car!!!

Well, nobody recommends installing a harness without a cage because it is dangerous, not because it's to make installation easier. There's whole forums in MKIVtech discussing that.

But if you still want a harness after reading those forums, then you can get almost any harness you want. There's two ways to install them, bolt-in and snap-in. These can use the stock seatbelt bolts, and you can also keep your stock seatbelts in place. Bolt-ins, you simply take off the stock seatbelt bolts, install the strap of the harness, and put the bolt back on. Snap-in, you replace the stock seatbelt bolts with eye bolts from racerwholesale.com or summitracing.com. They sell most harnesses with bolt-in hardware in the ends, but you can change them to snap-in very easily, and vice-versa. The hardware slips in and out of the strap end. Check out racerwholesale.com for the snap-in or bolt in hardware.

Here's the site for using the stock mounting points:

Would anyone happen to have black sparco torinos with a black harness on a black car? I am planning on getting the black sparco harnesses... I personally hate adding color to the interior which draws too much attention

i have a black car with tan interior. with my cage i painted it black but i have the black and silver theme kinda going. i was looking at harnesses and i was thinking about getting the simpson harness. best bang for your buck and that's what all the drag racers use so you know it's really good. i was going to get the black with silver letters. here's a pic of the silver simpson harness

if you do any kind of street racing or drag racing at the track. people will know your car means business with simpson. that's what i think anyways. the black also has all the metal peices polished so it looks good too. i was probably going to get the black one cause it would match my car better.
