Is the rack and pinion the same between a 87 model and a 91?
mine developed a lot of play in it on the driver side this weekend. Thanks!

No...the 89+ are electronically speed sensitive. They also have wires going the rack vs the 88 and below dont have that at all. If you have a 91 in handy, you kud take out just the ends of the rack and replace them with yours, those parts are compatible and are what cause the play.
