Raising rev limiter??

I have been reading through tons of threads and I still can't seem to find a definate answer. How high can you safely rev on the stock valve train? I have AEM so I can set it as I wish, I just don't want to do any damage. As of now I have it set to the stock 6750 but this turbo needs more rpm's.

i have read about 7500 is safe on stock valve train, but cars with higher mileage should be weary. It would be best to at least do the crower springs and retainers as they are cheap insurance.

I wouldn't rev it pass 7200 on stock valvetrain. Just do what balticMKIV said instead of taking a chance. Good luck

I rev to 7500 regulary with no ill effects. I have friends that rev to 8k and nothing has gone wrong. The only reason I don't rev that high is b/c I don't have cams. No point in reving that high unless you're making useable power.

I rev to 7600 on street and have revved to 8000 at the strip on stock valvetrain and 264's.. No problems..
