How do the Focals sound compared to the Boston Pros?

I have the BA Pro 6.5 in my MKIII. they sound awesome. But IMO the Focals are much better.

I've got those Focals in my MKIII and they sound awesome. They'd sound better if my lazy ass would sound deaden the doors.

If you want a nice subtle tweeter and sound, check out the DEI's or orion hcca's.
Focals are very nice but have that titanium tweet which is a bit harsh(at least for me they were, i like silk dome's).
I have the DEI's and love them! Around $240 shipped from sounddomain.com

hey, i have the Focal polyglass 5 1/4 and 6 1/2 in my mkiv, and thy sound GREAT I love them. Paid an arm and a leg for them $350 a pair. But I have heard MB and Boston, they honestly dont compare and im running a ECLIPSE 4 channel amp. HOPE this helps!

I went with Focal 165V for the front and rear. I paid $229 per pair for the Focal 165V. Also got two 8" Polk DX8 in a Fiberglass box to fit in the stock sub location. Powered by Autotek SX5750 5channel amp. It's sounds great.

I find it hard to believe that these Focal Speakers are much better (if any) than the Boston Pros. I'm going to give them a listen this week.

The Focal 165v speakers are on sale for $249 on Car Stereo.com. Would this be advisable to buy speakers online?

what about the Infinity perfect components? I think they're called 6.1s

also.. My friend got a couple Nakamichi (sp?) component sets for very cheap. Are they any good?

I'm pretty partial to the Infinity Kappas. I have the separates in the front factory locations, and the rears are Infinity Kappa plates. I didn't want to cut holes anywhere, and they worked out exactly the way I hoped they would.

I like the way they sound. Everyone has different sound tastes...for the money, the Infinity speakers are just fine.
