I have a set of HKS cam gears, and I've heard that -1.5* is a good setting for stock cams, on the exhaust side. My gears are labeled A = advance, and R = Retard. -1.5* would mean I move the cam gear to the retard side till it lines up with 1.5*, right?

:ugh2:

-1.5 would mean to retard the timing. Please do this on a dyno, its so much better.

i heard that little bit or retardation can actually give you 10-12 whp, according to some people, but alot of people recommend doing it on a dyno, like spaniard said.

theres not much I can screw up by doing it.... if the ass dyno feels more power then I'll leave it there until I dyno. -1.5* seems to be the shiz, according to what I read.
