I really want a Greddy type R but I dont know if the stiff spring will allow it to blow-off because on mvp's sight it says quote "The disadvantage is that the stiff spring makes it hard to blow-off during regular driving so you will get some compressor surge."

I am running 370hp right now (Im pretty sure I am oh and 410 at the crank) :dunno:

If you're not running somewhat high boost and MVP is saying it has a stiff spring then I'd imagine you would see compression surge. If you really want it, I'd give them a call and ask. :)

but if your not running high boost then i wouldnt really worry about surges. they wont be that high. so your not going to ruin anything. correct me if i am wrong but i dont see a problem.

You could just buy the Type-R bov with the standard spring. They sell it that way. It'll open as easily as the Type-S but it'll come out of the Type-R's bigass valve.
