I suspect the rear wheel bearing is crapped out on my girlfriends 88. My question is, would it be easier to replace it with a brand new bearing or should I just get a used knuckle with the bearing in? I've done plenty of front wheel drive front bearings, but never one of these. Is it a real bitch, or not too bad? Any recommendations?

Yeah I saw the tsrm already, looked like a pita with many SST's listed. Just wondering if anyone has any first-hand experience with it.

I was trying to figure out a way to do them myself as one of mine is starting to develop a little play. The general concensus is that if you don't have a press, you need to take the bearing and the knuckle to someon who does. They're apparently hard to get in and it is possible to misalign them.

Yeah a buddy of mine had a paseo that needed a press. We tried it w/o one and fucked it up, then used a press and fucked it up, AND the spindle. Then we just had it done, but I'd as soon do this myself.
