what? are you talking about?

the foam that comes out of your vents?

if you are.... look at a calender, then look at the year of your car, then back again, and again one more time. put 2 and 2 together and eventually youll get to the point where you realize that over time, constantly heating and cooling from the heat and AC and that fragile foam that creates a seal around the pieces of the vent system that are linked together.... deteriorates over time, and eventually comes out in pieces......

best way to get it all out is to close all but one vent, crank up the air, and work the vents back and forth... turning the air up and down constantly, eventually you will get it all out.

its old. no way there would have been a recall 18 years later.

I wasn't referring to a recent recall. I know this is an old issue, & I first noticed it maybe 3 years ago, but I was just curious if any recalls were ever issued. I've done the all but one vent closed on full blast, & occassionally still get hit while driving. When I first read about it on here, it was said that it occurred rather early in the life of our Supra's. I just took it as a given that it would happen, but maybe should have been fixed on toyota's dime.

i had some of that foam shoot out today.

been plaguing me lately since the car sat since sept.

on the bright side that foam tastes great and really lubricates your eyes.

I remember the first time I encountered that in my civic way back when. A huge chunk shot out of the vent and I just about screamed like a little girl as it attempted to latch onto my face and suck the life out of me.

Same foam surrounds the edge of the stock front speakers. My car has only 28k miles and I've replaced them once, and now one needs it again.

Is it necessary to replace the vent foam? Mine seems to blow fine without it.
