I've heard good things about a body and paint shop called "Seven Apple" in the past. The owner focuses mostly on 60's-90's Japanese cars from what I understand. I believe it is located somewhere within or just outside Los Angeles.

 

I heard that the owner of Seven Apple, Makito, closed up the shop a few years ago.

 

I used Lloyd Autobody in Ontario. Highly recommended. Here is picture of his work on my engine bay. Couldn't be happier with the outcome.
