I had ordered a new reed valve after hearing that "frog in the intake sound".
I noticed the sound a few days after installing the HKS VPC intake pipe.

Today I was about to install the new valve when I noticed the car was not making the sound. After a quick drive (less than 2 miles) the car just barely made the noise.
I'd rev the car slightly, the revs would come down. Then about 1 second later you would hear a click by the turbos and the "frog" sound would happen but so low I could just about hear it.

Now I understand the reed valve is responsible for making that sound, but my question is whether or not increased heat over a long drive will cause the sound to be amplified. I’ve noticed after a longer drive (~15 miles) the sound would get much louder. It just seems odd and I’m really not sure its worth the hassle to replace the valve.
