Is it possible to remove the IAC on the intake manifold without taking off the valve covers of the intake manifold itself?

I can't seem to do it, how does one go about doing that or am I just not creative enough--removal of the lower bolt.

I believe when I did mine, I used a flexible gearwrench...

I removed and reinstalled mine and an EGR block off kit with the valve cover and manifold right where they are. I used a ratchet with a flexible angle head.
