Well I just wanted to get some opinions, I've actually been thinking of doing this for a while, but wasn't totally sure since it would be major change from red to athra. What are your HO's about this? Some background info, the color scheme I would go with is anthracite on Black(wheels and othe Misc. Pieces) my buddy who is a professional painter(did my CF TS hood) would be the painter and I would not pay full paint price, rather just supplies and a lil compisasion on his part, but he mainly just wants to put his stamp on a good looking car for his profile, which I'm def fine with. Don't get me wrong I love my Ren.Red Soup, but anthracite has always been my fav Supra color.

So who thinks this is my route, or should I just stick with the original Ren.Red

idk why everyone is so obsessed with anthracite...I personally love your car the way it is, and Ren Red is now my favorite color after owning it haha, wouldnt trade it for any other color!

plus with the color change make sure you do jambs and engine bay too!! thats going to be time consuming.

I agree it will be time consuming, but the red paint is 3 years old, not faded to bad, but it will be soon enough, and when red fades it's like it starts getting pinker. And like I said he is a professional, he does this for a living and is very good, he/we wouldn't miss any spots or do a cheap job

I know in the end it's up to me, and I'm fine with that, I just wanted to get some opinions, I've gotten some of my best ideas just from me and other passionate supra guys just chatting, anyways thanks for your input

It's a factory color that looks shit hot - It's not like you're changing the color to try to rip someone off for it being a 'rare color' - you want it for the sake of how much you like that color.

Do it, antrhacite is definatly a cool color, but your going to have to do it right, so all the red gets covered up.

Do it right or don't do it at all, engine bay/jams/hatch/etc. full color change.

It's YOUR car do what YOU WANT. plus if anything i could see it bumping the value of the car if your gonna sell it seeing how there are TONS of red MKIV's and not many Anthracite cars.

Anthracite is one of the best looking colors but it is true that will be a large change with lots of time invested. if done right would be extra sexy, i say go for it if your going all the way!

Thanks for the input guys, just an FYI, when I do something I don't do it half assed, and being that my buddy does full body re-paints I'm positive we will not miss a single inch, of red. I was actually kind of wondering if going anthra from Ren red would actually hurt the value being it's not the original color? But then again you are right in saying athracite is a much more rare color so I guess that would be beneficial

anthracite is the best color for the supra! but if you're going to do it then do it right and pull everything out so the entire car color is changed.

Leave it red if the paint is slightly fadind get a good buff/ detail job and it will be good as new. Ren red is my favorite color but i got a pearl white which im keeping cause original cars are the best. Anthracite is cool but on someone elses car. Thats just my 2 cents

I would prefer Anthracite of Ren Red. Go for it since you claim your buddy is very good and you get a good price.
