What part are you talking about? The part where it bolts to the head? Or the cover where it held by two screw? If it's the part where it by the head, you have to remove a lot more. Upper radiator hose, Power steering reservoir/bracket, CPS and the lower coolant house underneath the housing... Haven't touch a 7M in years so that's off the top of my head.

Wow. If i didnt know better Id say none of you know how to do it. Other wise help the guy out. It so hard to go out an look at your own car and relay some info.

Open the draincock on the radiator to get the antifreeze out. Remove the upper radiator hose. Being you are going to remove the CPS Might as well take the harmonic balancer to 0 (Zero) Top dead center. Ill give you a link in a minute to reinsert the CPS. I dont know the last time you changed your T Stat. Id do it while your are in there. What the heck... why not? Remove the upper Timing cover so you can check the alingment of the Cam timing sprockets. Remove the power steering reservoir. Let it lay over a little. Remove the CPS. Unplug the connectors off of the TStat housing. Remove the lower small 90 bypass hose.
If you have a Turbo remove the line to the turbo.
Unbolt the housing. use a razor blade to clean up all the old gasket material, on both surfaces.
Its really not that hard of a job.

Ok some links. what you are removing.

2. Remove upper radiator hose
3. Remove upper IC pipe take the turbo intake pipe unplug the afm etc etc
4. Take the power steering reservoir and its bracket off 3 bolts/nuts of it
5. Unplug all the water temp sensors
6. Remove the lil hoses attached to this thing 2 lil L hoses that are going to be a BITCH REPLACE THEN WHEN GOING BACK TOGETHER
