So at first I think I was running lean....fixed everything and all now I am smelling gas from my exhaust...am I running rich?? How can I fix this?

Check the gap in your spark plugs and tell us what you see.

Mods are intake blow off valve...downpipe high flow cat exhaust....shimmed wastegate...no check engine light

You can't fix effectively what you cannot measure.

Either purchase a wideband, or borrow one from someone.

ive heard that the ecu can still store codes without the light being on
why dont you try checking

Well the light comes on sometimes..I gotta do my brake pads tomorrow so I will check then

what he said get a gauge... if you dont want to go wideband right now a narrowband will at least tell you if youre rich or lean

^yup there's a procedure in the tsrm for check lean/rich threw the stock o2.

shimming your waste gate you should have a wide band to know for sure your not leaning out.

Strap a wide band to it and monitor the AFR's
