This past weekend my Supra got sprayed in rocks from a motorcycle:( Do you guys have any ideas how to fix the chips other than touch up paint(besides a new paint job) or is touch up paint the best route? Thanks.

Ya the front of my car is all chewed up as well. Not sure what to do about it other than repaint it. There's a few companies that make some kind of rock guard stuff that goes on over the paint that's supposed to be invisible... It's like a thin sheet of clear urethane or something. Just wondering if anyone here has used that and had good results..??

i worked at a body shop, and they had rock guard, stuff, but it is sprayed on befor it is painted and it makes the paint "rough" like. . .maybe thats what you are talking about. . .if so, it would look terrible if you did this to the whole front end of your car. . .but as for the chips. . .you can touch it up. . .but otherwise repainting it is your only option unless you have an airbrush. . and paint. . .and can paint. . and sand down every one till it's smooth. . .and clear it. . .and belnd it . . .and probably buff it. . .so yes. . .your best bet is to repaint. . .next is touch up

It's called "invisible bra" and yes i have it on my car for almost 18 mths and no problem but then again i don't drive my car much and it stays garaged most of the time.Try contacting www.xpel.com and read about the stuff,it even comes with the warrenty from turning yellow or fading the paint underneath and IMHO it's worth the money.I can take picts but it's so clear that it won't show up and also you can ask Steve Jarvis as he bought it too but not sure if he has put it on yet or not.

Xpel Question....

I found a dealer in California that discounts these Xpel kits and I am about to get the kit for my new Sequoia.... Are these kits difficult for someone that has NEVER attempted window tinting, etc or is it pretty simple to catch on and DIY????

It's just like doing the window tinting but a bit more difficult as the front bumper and the hood sheets are one big computer precission cut pieces so you got to be extra careful in handling it and be careful about the dust/hair and other crap getting caught underneath,IMHO leave it upto the pros ;)
