ok, i am hearing like someone is throwing some rocks inside my high-flow catalytic converter, it has a dent in front of it because my exhaust is low and it sometimes bumps the speedbumps and other things. Does this mean that my cat. has gone bad?

It kind of sucks in a way, but this only tells me to go "test pipe":D

ok, thanks

If you dent the cat, the rock like material inside breaks and will cause what you're describing. If that happened, it was essentially clog up your cat.

If you have a turbo car, test pipe is the best way to go.

If you have a RT highflow cat it has a wire mesh (instead of balls)inside that shouldn't break if the cat gets dented. Most cats have a shield (for heat? maybe for protection?). Is it possible that some road dirt has worked it's way in there?
