I want to put on the newer 91+ round toyota emblem on my facia. I heard a while ago somewhere on the forums (i searched cant find it) that toyota sells new emblems that use the pre 91 facia for mounting. Id like to find the part number for it. Any help is appreciated thanks

I don't know about all that. Would be cool if that were the case though, must be from another car?

If that's true, that's great news, I thought I was going to have to buy that whole peice.

91-91 round emblems are direct swaps. The front nose piece that houses the emblem is IDENTICAL on all 86-92 mk3's. Which means that even 91-92's have a square pattern on the nose piece! The 91-92 round emblems actually have a square pattern on the back of them, and plastic clip. I found this out after purchasing one from Champion Toyota for about $16.00. They should have alot of the 91-92 stock colors available(not including some of the harder to find colors). Hope that helps

Yup, njsupramk3t is right. It's a direct swap. I have an '89 and i can swap the emblem from my wrecked '91 without problem.

So all us pre 91 people can order toyota emblems from Jay Marks/Champion and they'll fit?! :)

Needed to order a few things from there anyways just wondering if I should add this to the cart when I call.

Yep, they bolt right on and look completely stock. Completely interchangeable.

I like the original badge... reminds me of the celica supra badge and i think has more character. Nevertheless, that is great news for people looking for the new ones. Nice find!

The problem is finding the appropriate color. They didn’t have my color in 91-92, so it wont look perfect since the background of the 91-92 emblems are color matched to your veh.

Hey Jeff I think you have a few typos there:

Black 202

Garnet Pearl 3K3

The colour names I posted are Toyota parts catalogue names, if you went into Toyota, those are the colours that would come up on their screen. Brochure names are nice and all, but the colours Toyota's system uses are far more useful ;).

you guys just want the round badge because you dont have it... not because its BETTER.

its Worse. i had one and i hated it. i actually swapped my front nose peice on my 91 for a 90 peice w/ the square badge. the 91-92 badge is a pain in the ass to wax around and Inside. its a solid piece, which means the paint color in the "background" of it NEVER gets cleaned easily. its also IMPOSSIBLE to wax correctly. so its more likely to fade, oxidize and look like shit. my 91 was Super Red II, but the colored back ground of my round badge was Super PINK II. it was impossible to wax inside there and remove any oxidation. its more of a PITA than its worth. plus, its big and gaudy, like a freakin ******* Texas belt buckle... it may as well say "Peterbilt, Keep on Truckin' on it.

now, if i could get the round toyota badge from the MKIV with open holes that expose the body panel underneath, that would have been lightyears better than the MK3 Belt buckle on the 91-92.

I actually like the 86.5-90 emblem a lot, just not on my color. No contrast. I plan on getting an emblem like you mentioned, but not necessarily from a supra. I have the measurements for the stock 91-92 emblem, so I'm going to start measuring my customers cars emblems to find a perfect match.

my old pre 91 badge was lost when painting my car...so I thought I might try this one out...I can always rip it off and get the older one. That is just your opinion...I dont mind spending 2 minutes more when cleaning the car to clean the front badge...the newere badge looks better anyways... :)

hey that thing was badass :p

I am speaking for the majority of the people...I would say that 8/10 people like the newer toyota badge over the square one.
