Yesterday I was driving the car while Ryan23 was on the laptop and he was fine tuning the car when we realized that my Auto Tranny shift points were set as follows: 1st gear 5800, 2nd gear 6800, third gear 6800 and 4th gear 6800. We then reset the 2nd, third and fourth gear shift points to 7200 and the car began to fly! My question is "What would be the optimum shift points for a SP77 turbo with 264 cams and heavy duty valve springs? I don't want to overdo it but I have the feeling she should be spinning higher than 7200...

I went to 7500 on the stock valve train with no issues at all.

You should be able to rev it to 8500 and be safe with your setup.

Keep in mind that the shift points you set aren't actually the rpm that the shift occurs at. You generally need to lead the actual event in the programming (6800 setpoint to actually shift at 7100). This lead will be less with a built transmission than a stock one.
