Can someone give me the typical RPMs on a 1986.5, at like 20mph, 40mph, 60mph, etc...or have a link to a chart showing where the RPM's should be at certains speeds during normal driving and such? I am curious becasue I want to know if my supra is "in the norm" and everythigns OK concerning this questions. Thanks...

heh. speed/RPM is always going to be dictated by diff ratio (assuming no trans/clutch slippage). no matter what's wrong w/your car, it will always be the same....

yea, well it IS still a good way for an idiot to be able to figure out if his TC or clutch is slipping

I really do not *think* theres anything thing wrong at all...but for example, on the interstate when I look into my rear view mirror the image is slightly "double visioned" from vibrations at high speeds so I was guessing that perhaps I'm at too high an RPM and I need a tune up or the like. Until about a week or two ago, the image was fine so I was kinda wondering...

Oh, and I drive an automatic too

that reminds me hehe. I bet thats whats wrong...I was washing my supra and I noticed as I detailed the wheels that they looked a bit low on air...dude thanks, I'm gald you said that becasue I so forgot about it. I'll check that tomorrow. Only costs 75 cents to do anyway heheh :doh:
