I just got my car back from getting its single upgrade and I noticed that the 02 isnt hooked up. The car runs fine, idles great, gets decent fuel economy (17-20 beating on it). Will it hurt anything with it not having the 02's plugged in? I looked at the dyno chart AFR's and they are 11.8 all the way across. Its stock ECU with an SAFC2, JDM 440's, and running 16psi on wastegate spring. I dont know if it makes a difference but its in an Automatic Sc300 also.

Are either of you running widebands?

Not running one seems kinda stupid to me..
Why run an engine temp gauge or speedo? It is kind of important to know whats going on under the hood IMO

It will most likely just screw up your closed-loop cruising-type AFRs, they will trend rich. I guess the ECU pops into a "default" type map for low-throttle stuff without one.

I melted the wiring to my primary O2 once and it took me awhile to even notice it. I have a wideband on my car, 2JZ Aristo ECU, 550s and a Walbro 255. I'm sure the 1J ecu is similar considering the two other posts here.
