You're mistaken. A car with a flat, predictable non peaky torque curve is a lot easier to launch than a car with a torque curve that rises steeply when the turbos kick in. A Supra has exactly the same problem with revving too high or too low, only it's worse. I've driven both, and a V8 is MUCH easier to launch on street tires.

What's the best way to launch with an auto trans?

I've been playing with the E-brake and power braking but havn't been able to get it to really LAUNCH out. I had a 94 RX7 5 SP and I got that this to lanch hard...I used the E-brake and modulated the clutch to prespool the turbos then BAMMM...out of the hole hard.

Any advice in getting my Supra tt Auto to Launch hard?
