Scraping sound?

I've been hearing a scraping/squealing sound while driving around these last couple of days. I have a feeling it has something to do with the brakes even though I don't feel anything out of the ordinary while braking.

One more thing....The sound gets very loud when going in reverse at a slow speed.

I plan on taking it to the dealership on friday, but came here first to see if anyone had any ideas? anything?

thanx in advance:)

brake pads, check the pads to see if they are worn out...change it asap b4 the metal starts scrapin the disc, then you will have to buy new disc also. my car did the same thing...at slow speeds sometimes hi speeds, i hear this slight squeeling, and when i go in reverse, i hear the squeeling, so im almost 100 percent sure its the brake pads, til then go real easy on them..... hope this helps

Yup, you were right. According to the Receipt they " Replaced Rear Brake Pads and resurfaced rear brake rotors"

They also found that the R/R axle seal was leaking and they fixed that too....can someone explain to me what that is exactly? It cost $370 to repair...but luckily it was covered under the extra care warranty:)
