yeah, it's actually a 555 timer use to replace the sub02 sensor. this would trick the ecu to thinking that there is still a good cat in your car, when you don't have a cat anymore. MKIV.com had an article on it , but that's about all i can remember.

I don't have sub 02 sensor on my dawg right now, and no check engine light... good so far..

I believe they're called O2 simulators.... you click them into the o2 sensor plugs and they trick the ecu to thinking you have a cat/cats.
