small pallet. be stealthy and you can gank one from home depot or lowes.

go grab some straps from discount/advance for like 10 bucks. that is, if you're freighting it.

He either works or worked for a shipping company. Allstate Freight i think is the name. He's shipped parts for supraforums members before.
If he's still working there, he can take care of it for ya.

got quoted near 275$ to ship through all state freight...
i think i will be going elsewhere for this one.

just did a hypothetical quote with fedex and it came out to 75$
for a shipment up to 120lbs.

Your tranny's weight is about 175 lbs pakaged.
Forward Air in Miami will cost you about 75-80 to ship it, but you must bring it there.
I've used them 5 times.

you can use a pallet and ship it ups ground. or you can put it in a corregated box, with wood on the bottom and ship it that way. ive done both a few times.

Forward Air all the way, best price/performance....except they only deliver to the local terminal, your buyer needs to go there and claim it/pick it up. Otherwise, you can't beat $35 for every 100Lbs, plus small fuel surcharge.

I am shipping two Getrags out today for California, it will cost approx $114 for the pallet plus trannies. Thats with all the surcharges.
