I got a 1JZ Auto SC300 thats pretty much stock. Im planning on upgrading the stock twins to 14B turbos from 1G eclipses. I got all the parts need for the upgrade; Turbos, manifolds, adapters, 440cc injectors, SAFC 2, Innovate wideband, AVC-R boost controller, intercooler, HKS SSQV.

All i would really need fabricated from the shop would be intercooler piping, and down pipes merging off the turbos into a single to fit my exhaust. Everything else would just need to be installed.

Im not the best mechanic so I would prefer to have this done by a shop. But if its too expensive, I can at least install the electronic stuff like the EBC, wideband and SAFC.

I was wondering what you guys think a shop might charge for this work. How should I expect to spend? And is some of this stuff simple enough to install myself?

Truthfully you are probably gonna have a hard time finding a shop to work on a 1j. But if you do they are probably going to be pretty expensive ie $200 an hour. My best suggestion would be try balanced performance in buford. They are one of the few places I can think of off the top of my head that would do it, but they are not cheep, and they can dyno tune it there too.

Im in Augusta, if you were closer I'd charge 6-800 to install everything, plus price of materials and welding of DP. I'd have to sub that out. Then you'll need it tuned.

I feel like if a shop works on 2JZs then they can work on 1JZs. Theres not much of a difference especially with the work I want done. The only part that might trip them up is wiring in the electronics since the ECUs are different.

Thats not bad, if anyone closer wants to throw out offers be my guest. As long as you have references to back you up, I wouldnt mind taking my car to someone here on the forum.

I checked them out, they seemed more of a repair shop than fab/performance shop.
