Ok, so I want to get some opinions. My 95TT has 90,000 miles on it. To my knowledge it has had no motor work done to it before. I'm going single now with cams, new oil pump, bunch of goodies, etc. I've got the engine out of the car, head was ripped off to get it cleaned, so that's not a big deal. I just did the the valve stem seals and I'm thinking now all I've done is put more pressure on the piston rings. A couple of my cylinders checked in at 140 on the compression check before I tore it down. I've ripped off the oil pans to do the oil pump. Now, I do plan to go with a stroker within the next couple of years depending on finances. But because I've got it so torn down already, I'm thinking of putting new rings in. What do you guys think? And if so, are toyota rings my only option for the stock toyota pistons, or is there an upgrade? Thanks.
