just to think how impressed he was he had to say the car shut the whole thing down...I assume his brain exploded when space X landed on that pad in the ocean.
If doughnuts could be equated to art and design, then I'd say Voodoo Doughnuts are the Antonio Gaudí of pastries. Take that as you will. Lastly, this thread has now become the official SF doughnut thread.
I picked up some VooDoo donuts a few years ago when working in Portland before flying back home to LAX. The attention I received in the terminal and boarding the plane was hilarious.
^^ That's no lie.... it's like Disneyland every freaking day there. We live near the Buena Park location and have gotten good at the "drop the wife off and circle the parking lot" routine.
Yup, that looks about right pre-Covid, breakfast, lunch and tea time.
Now, they have online time slot contactless pickup which BTW, is almost always full if you don't go online and order like early in the morning, by afternoon, time slots are full.
I'm all for a juicy money laundering story, but if the lines are like this consistently...... I still have my doubts about how good these doughnuts are though. Because you see, I've seen lines and had food from places, and haven't been impressed at all. Salt Lick BBQ is a perfect example.
^The Salt Lick is in Texas, 20 miles or so southwest of Austin. For me, the only thing good about the Salt Lick are the roads that you can take to get there, which can be fun driving in a spirited manner. Otherwise, it's a played out tourist trap with mediocre food at best.
