Thanks for the kind words.

This was not the decision we wanted to make and the core team put a lot of thought into how we could at least do something this year. After resetting the bar at SILV08 it was very hard to get motivated for an event that we knew we would have no chance of even coming close to what we did last year - in both participants and financials. We already knew SupraSport, our banner sponsor for the past several years, would not be able to be a part of this year's activities. That put us down 1/3 of our budget immediately. We knew we'd still have some sponsors but how low would our budget be this year?

A LOT of time, effort, and money goes into planning an event the size of SILV to make it run as smoothly as it does.

We've also see many of the participants starting to join us on an every other year plan.

We figured if we took a break this year due to the economy then perhaps we could even break our own record for the number of Supras parked in a single lot at the Show-and-Shine and continue to grow this annual Supra tradition when we returned.
