I think KSport is pretty big with hondas, so does anyone have any experiance with the coilovers they make for mkiii's? They are on Ebay.

I know a lot of people on 9thgencorolla.com (03-07 corollas) are running them and love them. From what I hear they are slightly softer than tein ss but perform about the same. So general consensus is they are a very good street and track coilover for the money

Ksports are made by the same people that make megans and Apex. they are all essentially the same; same quality, same build, same material, same shit. my friend who works at a local shop sells them both and admits they are virtually identical. fuck the name, its price that matters. if you dont like the spring rates, get new springs. they are like $15 a piece and you can get them in any spring rate you desire. coilovers predominatly use universal sized springs, 4" OD and 2.5" ID iirc.

i have the Ksports and so do a couple of guys in here, in the NYC area. They perform very well. i have the 14/10 set up. you can choose the rates up to 15 both for fr and rr

I have had bad luck on my brothers s13 with K sports. The rear shock blew within 3-4 months, then took K-sport another 3-4 months to finnaly send a warrantee replacement, and by the time it arrived, the other rear shock started leaking and we had to go through the whole process again. So yea....it takes 3-4 months to get a replacement shock and they want you to send to old/ damaged one in, which is not possible when its a daily driver. Oh and the replacement parts they finally sent were different than the originals, the were a different length and had more travel than the originals. We asked them about this and they had no idea which was the right one, and the part numbers didnt mean anything to them. Which is really bad when they dont even know what shock is supposed to be in what application. They obviosly just have two or three universal shocks and make mounts to bolt them to any car, which is why the ride is so brutal on many applications, like the S13 for example.

I will never buy K-sport, Megan, D2 or what ever sticker brand they put on these things.

BTW I just talked to a good friend of mine who works for KW suspensions of north america about htis and he laughed....... he confirmed 100% that these are all the exact same part just painted different colors with stickers on them. He went to a trade show in Germany, and this coilover manufacture was there and tried to get him to start his own coil over brand. They will sell the "brand" to anyone who will front for a few sets. However he said that they can and do make very nice products with lots of R&D work, but you pay allot more for that. For $1000 or less you will get what you pay for, little or no R&D work .

The main difference is that Ksport has poly/hard type of upper mounts. Megan has spherical metal upper mounts. This is why Ksports are so much cheaper.

That is the only difference I can find, along with the warranty supplied by Megan.

Randy is right, I have seen the same "shock" used on many different applications. The lower part that spins on is the most different.

The funny part is that Greddy is now selling the same coilovers.

If you had enough money, you have bubba gump labelled on an entire line of coilovers.

one bad apple doesnt spoil a bunch. If you had a bad experience thats good to know. Like porn I have had them since December, and all is good here. The upper mounts are metal unlike it being mentioned that they are poly. So far the guys in NY give them the thumbs up!

flbyux2... where do u get coilover springs for 15 bucks? i can get them for 50,... but not close to 15
