OK, I'll start...I know Sony are generally regarded as crap among aftermarkets. That said, as I happen to have acquired this shiny free pair of older 6.5" coax (a former tenant left them NIB in the storage room I just finished emptying...along with a guitar...have to learn to play that sometime too 
), would they actually be a step down from factory speakers in terms of sound quality and clarity, or a small step in the right direction, considering they cost me nothing. They may also serve as great templates for some door baffles.
