The OFFICIAL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS is as follows:

9:30 a.m. Designated Parking Lots (as shown below) for Supras and non-Supras open for business. Parking will be on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis. Other than the Display Cars and the vehicles of event assistants, no other vehicles will be allowed into the designated parking areas before 9:30 a.m. If you elect to arrive early, something that will almost assuredly happen because of the number of vehicles scheduled to be in attendance, please park in the parking lot of the park right around the corner from SPE on Don Julian Street. You will be allowed to hang out there until the designated parking lots are opened at 9:30 a.m. SPE will have staff available, with radios, to ensure the parking goes smoothly and efficiently.

10:00 a.m. Official commencement of the Supra Appreciation Day event.

11:00 a.m. Welcoming remarks

12:00 noon. “Lucky 7” Dyno Raffle Winners Announcements. Commencement of dyno activities

1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. TiTek Innovations Raffle Winners Announcements

4:00 p.m. End of Event

SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE

RAFFLES: There will be two raffles for this event as follows:
“Lucky 7” Dyno Raffle: While the Supra Appreciation Day will have a dyno component, this event is NOT a dyno challenge. The SPE personnel resources will be stretched considerably by the number of attendees and vehicles that have committed to this event. As a result, SPE will not be able to dyno the 30 or so vehicles it has dynoed in the past at SPE Dyno Day events. Each vehicle owner wishing to dyno their vehicle will be required to register their intent to do so in this thread. The names of these individuals will be placed inside the “Lucky 7” Dyno raffle container and the seven winners announced as noted in the schedule above. The Lucky 7 will have the cars dynoed FREE OF CHARGE with a maximum of three dyno runs per vehicle. If you do not register in this thread, you will not have the opportunity to compete for the seven dyno spots that will be available. Winners of this raffle will be required to have their cars in the proper condition for the “Lucky 7” dyno event. This means no cars with bald tires and no cars with leaking fluids. THERE WILL BE NO TUNING OF CARS BY SPE PERSONEL. This is not a dyno tuning event and each vehicle must be in a sufficient state of tune to participate in this event. Vehicles in the “Lucky 7” dyno raffle will be included or excluded from this event in the sole discretion of yours truly and the SPE chief tech. ALL LUCKY 7 DYNO WINNERS WILL HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT THE EVENT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR RAFFLE WIN.

TiTek Innovations Raffle: One product from each line of the TiTek Supra catalog will be raffled off for this event, including the TiTek CF spark plug/cam gear cover (winner’s choice of wet or matte CF); the TiTek CF gauge pod (winner’s choice of Ver. 1 or Ver. 2); the TiTek CF cooling plate; the TiTek magnetic drain plug; TiTek lug nuts (winner’s choice of the color of lug nuts); and, the TiTek CF license plate frame. Each confirmed attendee will be automatically entered into this raffle, with their name (or SF SN) to be included in the TiTek raffle container. ALL TiTek RAFFLE WINNERS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE EVENT TO RECEIVE THE PRODUCTS THEY WIN.

RESTROOM FACILITIES:

The SP Engineering facility has two restrooms. We felt this was insufficient for the anticipated crowd, so two Porta-Potties will be located to the rear of the SPE facility to ensure attendees can have timely access to these facilities when needed. It is important that all attendees treat these facilities as though they were located in your homes. Wives, girlfriends and children will be present at the event, so it is important all play a role in keeping these facilities clean and unspoiled for everyone having a need to use them. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and support in this regard.

FOOD & DRINK:

Food stuffs will be provided by Kogi Korean BBQ. Kogi will have a catering truck parked to the rear of the SPE facility and will have sufficient food supplies to feed 200-people FREE OF CHARGE, so all you boys and girls have to do is to show up and have some fun. Remember, this is SPE’s Supra Appreciation Day so everything is being provided to event participants free of charge. SPE and Kogi will also be handling the provision of soft drinks and water so you can wash down all the food stuffs that will be available at the event.

PRODUCT SALES:

During the course of the event, product sales will be occurring inside the SPE front office. These sales will include sales of GReddy and HKS products that are being provided to SPE specifically for this event. In virtually all cases, the product available will be in limited quantities at prices that are far too low to quote without violating forum rules or running afoul of forum sponsors. If there is something in particular you are interested in, I suggest you are present when the event officially opens to see if such products are available at reduced prices. SPE and TiTek products will also be available. Good deals will be available here as well so be sure to get while the getting is good.

RULES OF CONDUCT:

If you do not read anything else in this post, please read this section. There will be no burnouts, no rev contests, no speed contests on public streets or any other activity that will draw unwanted attention to the event or event participants. The proper permits have been secured from the City of Industry and the plans for this event have been reviewed and approved by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. That means, we will have Sheriff’s personnel in and around the vicinity of the event and any knuckleheads will be promptly dealt with by law enforcement. If any unwanted activity occurs on private property, you will be asked to leave the event by me or SPE personnel. Some of the owners of the Display Cars and event assistants will be working to ensure the event remains low profile from a law enforcement perspective as well. We all know what happened at the conclusion of Nick Stonawski’s Blake Restaurant event a couple of weekends ago and we definitely want to avoid a repeat of that unfortunate episode. All of you driving alone and caravanning to the event should conduct yourselves with discipline. Having over 100 high performance cars descend on one location, the vast majority of which are modified Supras, is a sure-fire way to attract law enforcement attention. Make sure you do not do anything that will detract from this event or cause problems for yourself or your fellow Supra community owners.

MISCELLANEOUS:

We will have a DJ available at the event to keep things lively and to ensure we have an appropriate public address system for important announcements. We will also have an official event photographer, Robert Estiandan (rj1031 on SF). In addition, one of the best photogs on SF, xknowonex, will be at the event as well, shooting for Jtuned.com and for his regular features on SF. I, for one, cannot wait to see the wonderful pics that will be emanating from this event. Be there or be square.

Here is the parking layout prepared for this event. Please study it closely and follow the directions of the SPE personnel assigned to the event parking program.

Can't wait... See you bright and early saturday morning.

Thank you SPE and Ken for getting this all organized as well as you have! Looks to be one for the record books! :)

I'm not finished with Blackie yet, but I am proud to say I got all the rock chips taken care of using VIPImports recommended procedures. Looks pretty sweet if I must say so myself, especially for a first-timer like me. Now, I've got to find the time to clean both cars.

Ruffle for free dyno? I am in. :)
Noted. There will be another post on this, so be on the lookout.

Since it's been proven in the last thread most here prefer looking at pictures in magazines rather than reading the articles, here is a perfect example of what Ken has posted regarding parking BEFORE the meet!!! I garuntee there will still be tards parking in the street in front of SPE before 9:30am, but im hoping this is clear enough so SPE employees can arrange display cars and the event without having to wave and tell every person who rolls up before the actual event, "GO AROUND THE CORNER TO PARK FOR NOW PLEASE!!"

I live only 3 exits away, so i'll be in this designated lot @ 8:30am!

Nick, I'm gonna kiss you, man, when I see you. This is PERFECT and just what we needed. Thanks a bunch. See you soon.

Ken,

If it's not too late, can you please add me to the list. I will be there with my supra +1. thanks
Done.

Lucky 7 Dyno Raffle Entrants

As stated earlier, the Lucky 7 Dyno will be comprised of seven Supra owners whose names will be pulled from the Lucky 7 Dyno raffle container. There will be three free dyno runs for each of the Lucky 7 winners. Would-be contestants must post in this thread and I will add their names to the list. Cars must be in proper condition to be dynoed, as there will be no tuning. Cars having bald tires or are leaking fluids will not be eligible to be dynoed. Please be advised that, if we have wet weather, the Lucky 7 dyno event will likely be affected. If you want to participate in the raffle, it will be the vehicle owner's responsibility to ensure their rear tires are dry and able to be placed on the rollers. Vehicles with wet/damp tires will not be dynoed.

Here is the list of attendees for the Lucky 7 Dyno Raffle:

1) Supra JZA80
2) Daves2JZGTE
3) Supranton
4) Smaay
5) twincharge
6) suprahajimoto
7) supraTruc2JZGE
8) trd24mr2
9) jimar
10) Patrick94TT
11) DangerMouse

Ken,

I know that display cars should park closer to SPE. How about the rest of the nearby spots? Or, all Supras going to stay at the museum parking until someone give the signal? I am driving from the Nor Cal. Can you give us the details of the parking arragement? I may come down to the area early.

See my post #40 as to how we will be dealing with those arriving early.

Ken,
I'm adding 1 person with me and also the new owner from my old supra he will be attending to this meet. He does not have a profile on Supraforums. Is that possible? if not I understand due to last minute notice. Thanks.
Done.

sweet ill be there also.
Done.

I hate rain on everyones parade, This event is rain or shine, according to S.P. The weather for cast say's its gonna rain. (accordig to Mark Kristie"). That would be cool if we rallied to push it back a week. But I doubt that will happen. I bet it will clear up by then, but you'll never know. I know,... what's a little rain. Go head flame me call me names. Just my two cents sorry five cents (inflation)
Thank you for this. You're dismissed.

Rain still in the forcast, but I got a feeling we will be ok, cant wait for this. Ken great job on the organization.

Which lot is the best to park in, lol
Thanks for the kind words. I suppose most will think the main parking lot in front of the SPE building is the best, but I think that will be more a function of where the nicest cars are located. Given the numbers we're dealing with, there should be outstanding cars in every lot.

add me to the lucky 7 dyno raffle :)
hope it doesn't rain too hard on the way down from norcal but it looks like it will clear up by the time we're down there anyway
Done.

A few of us form norcal will not be making it any more. There is just too much to do for a show we are having up here at the end of the month. I wish there was time for us to go but it just did not end up working out for us.

-Boris
Boris, I need to know who "a few of us" are so I can take them off the list. I knew there would be unavoidable conflicts for some of you, but I'm sorry you guys will not be able to make it. Please let me know who these folks are. Thanks.

Ken.

^^^If SPE or Ken wants, ill arrange the cars at the pre 9:30am lot at the park according to earliest to latest arrived, and when given the call or signal, get everyone to roll out in order they came so it really is first come first serve! ;)

#40 ·
Nick, this is a fantastic proposal and one I am pleased to accept. Please PM Bruce Leeroy (OP of the original Supra Appreciation Day thread) and provide him your cell phone number. He will, in turn, provide you the name and cell phone number of the SPE Parking Coordinator. We have found the purchased walkie-talkies will not work for our purposes, so the communications between the parking crew will be through personal cell phones. This will also give you guys a chance to talk before the event to ensure everyone is operating from the same frame of reference. Many thanks, man. Much appreciated!

Not a good enough excuse. I work night shifts every day and I'm attending. In fact, I started thinking this same thing and was telling Nick how I am going to be exhausted. All I got was him making fun of me ;)

I don't know but just for hell of it, put me (the N/A 2JZ) in for 'Lucky 7 Dyno Raffle Entrants', Ken.
