I can't get NGK 6097's locally anymore (discontinued). Which plug would work best for BPU @17psi?

They changed the part number but that plug is still available under the new number. The old 6097 was a BKR7E-11 and the new version of that is now 5791; they're gapped 0.043" out of the box so you'll probably have to regap. Better double check that 5791 number though since I've never bought them since the p/n change since I switched to Iridiums.

You still using those Denso? How did you like them? Reason I ask is because my GTE says the stock plugs are a funky double pronged PK20TR11 and I was thinking about just getting the IK20s since they are only like 70c extra a pop.
Yes, I'm still using Denso Iridiums...I think the price on Amazon is pretty good and they seem to last a very long time and they've never misfired yet.

Autozone carries 4644 at $2.49 each. I just picked up a dozen the other day. As mentioned above the stock gap is 0.35 so you'll need to gap them slightly.

order online..

actually funny this thread popped up, i was tired of waiting for my order online, and i found out advance carried the 4644's, so i bought a set there..
get back home and i find a package on my doorstep (only been 4 days). and theres 2 sets of 4644's..... fuck now, 3 sets. and 1 going in.

rockauto.com has a great price for them, cheaper than advance (including shipping). like 13 for 6 (including shipping)

My last set of NGK 6097's are in the SupraTT now... looks like I am going to get some NGK 4644's now... I will call around my local area 1st before I order online and see what the best deal is.

My NKH 3330's seem to be lasting pretty well gapped at .028 running 15psi with a DLI. Its got a SP74mm but it hasn't been ran hard with them. I just bought the high dollar Iridiums but haven't put them in yet. Hope it wasn't a waste of money?

I use ordinary NGK BKR7E-11 with a gap of 0.028 inches / 0.7mm as per AEM's recommendation in their EFI BASICS document I downloaded. Cars runs really well. I do change it every oil change though.

Called advanced, they carry 6 on their shelf. I kinda feel like they are there just for me =)

gap for BPU cars should be 0.035 right?
