Im trying to decide if I should go with T66 or T72..

What are good combinations as far as trims A/R's for these turbos.

My goal is ~700 WHP

I already have 264/272 Cams and other supporting mods. Tubular Ex manifold, Hi flow intake manifold with vello stacks and 9" runners, 1400 CFM intercooler... with 3" piping and 3.5" TB. AEM EMS ... The exhaust and intake was ported sligtly but not too much.

Can I hit that HP levels with the T66? If yes what trim and A/R and what would be the spool with this combination? Should I go for Q trim and ~.7 A/R or I should use P tim?

I know that the T72 is capable of geting these numbers but what would the spool be (RPM? to hit ~20 psi or full boost ~30psi). Im looking at Q-trim .84 div. housing.

this is sort of an answer...

AZ mongoose and his 67GTQ turbo made 721 rwhp i believe. i dont think he was running nos either, and i tihnk hes still on the stock cams. a good turbo to look into imo, for your goals.

that shouldnt be too hard,
Will Neely with a T-66 on a 7m motor running stock cams (ALOT less flow/top end than a 2jz with cams) is pulling off over 700 to the rear wheels using just an S-AFC and a VPC for tuning...

I made 640whp on a T66 .7 AR with some of the best spool for that type of power range. I was seeing full boost at 3800 RPM. I think with cams and the headwork I'd be damn close to 700whp.

I know others did 700whp with a .81 ar but with the added lag of course.

I believe the T72 would make way more power but at the expense of lag. It's up to you if you want the spool or power.
