Hello everyone
Anyone know what size is the rack fitting ? I’m converting to AN fittings
And i really thought its 16x1.5 mm to AN. But I can not for the life of me thread it in !!! I bought it from amazing Jegs brand

The line to the right if looking at it from the top - not the one that goes under the oil pan and back the bottom of the pump
Did you see the Jegs photo ? I’m able to spin around 2 turns. Then it stops. Not sure if it supposed to be all the way flush or not

The oem line that goes under the pan is the high pressure line which is the fitting you have (M16x1.5). You’re looking for the low pressure return fitting which Patrick just stated is M17x1.5. I would trust Patrick knows what he’s talking about given how many he’s built.

for the pressure side I use a 16x1.5 to -6 from fragola with a 16mm dowety washer. its not what you show from jegs it seals at the "flange", some fittings you'll have to cut threads, fragola you don't. If you're going to be taking this on and off many times I would go with a steel fitting over the aluminum fragola or buy a spare just in case.

on the return side I always double crimp a -6 hose at the end using the stock tube where the stock hose/clamp goes as it works with how i usually route an oil cooler avoiding the fitting rodeo.

The low pressure you guys are referring to is the one I have the AN fitting on ? Which is 17mm ? And the one that has the factory banjo is the high pressure which is the 16mm ?

@2jzgte77 the one you have the banjo in is M16x1.5 - it is the high pressure feed from the pump into the rack
the one you have the AN fitting in is M17x1.5 - it is the low pressure return from the rack back into the reservoir

So if I understand you correctly the fitting inhave

thanks Patrick and zumtizzle. I will get the 17mm. Can I use the 16mm on the other one or no ? I’ll replace the factory cooler line. Might as well. If not then I’ll return it. You guys have a link ? For the 17mm. Thanks

@2jzgte77 I'm 99% sure it's a 5/16" but I remove it and tap the hole for 1/8"NPT and put a sensor there to monitor coolant pressure or a 1/8"NPT plug if I'm not using a sensor.

If you do use a cap I recommend the HPS caps. They're super thick wall. It'll never leak. https://www.amazon.com/HPS-Temperature-Reinforced-Silicone-Thickness/dp/B083QJN4X1 You could probably squeeze a 1/4" cap over it too, might be the safer route.
i capped it year ago with a rubber version and as im installing the new intake i noticed its all cracked, i will use a 1/4 from HPS/DM , i think this was a coolant line to the intake manifold , maybe to the Idle control valve ? its not as big as the bypass line to the oil cooler ....thanks again

pretty sure thats the wrong style of fitting to screw into the rack, that looks like a GM style sealing area, so that spot the o-ring is on is probably bottoming out in the rack to early
Edit: apparently i didnt see this had been solved already haha, disregard post

i figured it was bottoming out , late last night, oh well, lesson learned

Now i need to know the one on the bump also, is that 16mm also ? no the pump to reservoir , but the one on the bottom side , where its got a pressure sensor

Pump is also M16x1.5

To convert the entire system to AN you need (2x) M16x1.5 to 6AN for both sides of high pressure pump to rack and (1x) M17x1.5 to 6AN for low pressure return from rack to reservoir, preferably through a cooler first though.
