Hello again folks. So I have done this on a 5 series, but I had advice. I cant seem to find any on the MKIV.
How do you delete the steering lock? I need this removed for racing purposes. Basically when the key is out the steering wheel locks into position. Does anyone know where to drill out the pin? I havent thoroughly looked at the mechanism but any advice would be helpful

There are two dead bolts that hold the lock cylinder onto the column, you need to use the dremel cut a slot on the bolt head for flat screw driver to fit and unscrew its to remove the cylinder fr steering column. Impact gun works great.

I saw that, I am assuming I should remove the cylinder in order to decipher the lock mechanism?
There must be an easier way.
