Terrific fitment guide! Have question, guide says you will get top of fenderwell rub with 245-40-18's on 9" wheel with 39 offset ? HSK 73 senior member in LA says he runs Michelin Pilot Sport AS in above size without rub? Says he has Blitz with 45 offset, but chart also says this offset will rub? Offset probably makes no difference since it is wheel diameter & sidewall height that causes this rub? Can you please enlighten me? Thanks!

I know several people have had rubbing issues at the top of the fender well with 275/40R17's which are actually shorter than a 245/40R18. It might not be a problem if you don't have lowering springs, but I didn't want to put it in the guide without knowing for sure.

Thanks again Steve!

Appreciate your deliberate and careful thoughts and decisions in this matter. Stock height and suspension, so will probably be ok? The rubbing incidences you know about-- were they frequent or just severe road dips, bumps, cornering causing it? With just a small amount of luck, this should be my last post on the subject. Believe it, I'm tired of it,too! Again, thanks.

It will only rub under extreme compression.

Again appreciate your valuable help. Looked toward Lewisville and genuflected 3 times.

Whew, I had to look genuflected up in the dictionary. I just wanted to make sure it was a good thing. :)
