The advantage of an aftermarket BOV has always been a mystery to me. It has managed to be one of those mods that seem to have ethereal benefits.

Here are the claims:
1) stock BOV leaks at high boost (what psi?)
2) aftermarket BOV responds quicker so less lag between shifts.
3) aftermarket BOV won't leak at high boost.
4) aftermarket BOV sounds cooler :D

IS IT TRUE that the stock BOV is innadequate for BPU boost levels?

I have always had the itch to get one but I can't tell if it would be just a waste of money.

Opinions welcome! Thanks.

Amir

This is hearsay but it is form some knowledgeable people on the mkiv.com list( Mohad for one) the stock bov is oaky for bpu supra aftermarket bov probalby needed for single turbos I di the twin stock bov mod see mkiv.com. Basicaly tow stock bov in paralel cheap no problems at low boost makes a nice noise. In my opinion save your money and do a different mod than a aftermarket bov unless you needteh pssst noise
