My 94 Supra TT has the white fan that runs on the crank. I was wondering if i coud somehow convert it to run dual electric fans to free up some of the drag cause by the fan. Thanks
How much HP do u think i'll gain? I was planning to get the FLEX-A-LITE dual fan set. Does it bolt upto the stock radiator? I will eventually get a Fluidyne down the road. Thanks
I have the Flex -a lite....dual puller 220 fans...bought them from Summit racing for 189 i believe. No need for the relay or anything.
I have mine wired to run all time car is running. Works great. No battey problems, no colling problems at all. I am at BPU. They bolt directly into stock radiator.....very easy. As for power increase...not sure on exact.....but imho has to free up something.....in the end.it all adds up!!!
AFAIK, the stock fan has a clutch on it so it stop accerating after a certain RPM. Plus, the electric fans place a higher load on the alternator, which loads the engine.
Add to that the cooling problems people with stock fans and FMICs can have....
