I was just curious, is it possible to put say a titan 3.4L stoker kit on a na supra? I am just wondering because I think it would be kinda cool to build an na supra ( in a later date ) and surprise people when ya say its an na and not a turboed supra. And if it is possible has anyone actually done it?

thanks

Jordan.

Unique, yes! U would either be the first or one of very few. Smart, hell no! haha. U could take that 10K and put into GTE swap and many other parts and make alot more power than the 250 max u would get out of an NA stroker.

Oh I am aware that for the 10k the stroker costs that I could do so much more. I don't actually plan on doing this to my current supra, she is going na-t. I have never really been a fan of Na vehicles there is just something about boost that keeps drawing me in. but I am sure if you raised your compression, along with all the other bolt ons that you could make more then 250 hp... But who knows really, I have never heard of it being done before.

Food for thought:

Stroker kit is for beyond a serious users.
Its common practice to not have oil squirters on all seriously built high performance race motors.
NA blocks are identical to TT except for it doesn't have oil squirters.

The question comes down to at what point is the "NA" motor considered the "NA" motor (assuming you were able to connect the dots).

That's such a gross misrepresentation of the facts. Any seriously built higher performance track race motor would keep love to have oil squirters. NASCAR engines even use two squirters per cylinder to maximum cooling. But because most people on here want is a high HP 10s or less straight line car or worse the dyno queen they can afford to get pistons w/o squirters.

2jz_fanatic the 2JZ in NA form has a horrible power to weight ratio and power to area ratio. Going NA you are going back to the era of 1960s/1970s vehicles where the V8 is just plain superior to the I6.

If I had SW money I would do a high compression stroker with enough nitrous to get half the world high. 3 stages, 300 each hit......fuck yeah.

Hey look... stitches is back! Thanks for quoting me... again :) There you go again quoting online literature again with your nonsense. I said common practice, not rule of thumb. Btw, I wasn't aware there was such a thing as "pistons without squirters" I gotta get me a set of those for extra 10,000hp!

pistons without squirter (holes)s, thought it was kind of obvious.
Wow... when you had written it the first time I would've believed a typo but you typed the same thing again confirming you actually don't know what you're talking about again. Ryeno, please stop posting for the benefit of the forums. I'm going to let you figure out what you did wrong here and let you back pedal, you're pretty good at that.

So basically what you're saying is "Ryeno you are wrong and I am going to say you are wrong without anything to back it up." Real classy.

An exception in this case... I assure you ;)

Aren't most 2JZ stroker kits designed with boost in mind (i.e. compression ratio)?
The pistons, head gasket and head determine the compression between the two motors. Fact is the stroker kits made for 2J's are the same between the NA's and TT's.

Since it sounds to me like you don't understand how oil squirters work I'll go ahead and post these up.

Like I said people don't remove oil squirters because they aren't necessary (which is how you are representing it) but because the pistons they buy don't support it.
Since you commonly mouth of, let me ask you something. Would you rather have oil going to your bearings or the bottom of your pistons?

:lol::lol::lol: This is good stuff, try it one more time.

I am very well informed on how they work, I've rebuilt quite a few 2JZ-GTE's aswell as 7MGTEs.
