a few have tried maybe 1 or 2 suceeded. The only known one is from Flatlander racing and they have horrible customer service and usually mess up the orders anyways from what everyone says.

Reliable?

It seems that stroker 7m does not sound very reliable. I am scared to spend 2500-2900 for a kit and then something goes wrong and waste the money. I think I would rather bore it .30 over then a big turbo setup, 850cc, je pistons, and cams ect..

Talk with Defiant 7M about his 101mm stroked 15:1 compression N/A 7M-GE, heh...

Don't know how reliable it'll be yet though, lol.

It will be reliable, Toyota tuff with a big twist:D

As far as kits go Figgie has the only running Flatlander kit to my Knowledge. This is not for the casual engine builder. I have made many notes and actually can put a kit together with many off the shelf parts. The cost would be under 2K. My set up will be put too fire to see what happens before I say or do more as far as a kit goes. Not sure if you saw this toyotatwinsup...

your kit

I am just wondering what are the revs going to be like (if you can calculate it) That would be great to get a stroker kit for under 2k. Let me know when you get it finished. I would love to see some pics if you have them. What rods and pistons are you going to use? Thanks for the help

Check out the thread there are lots of pics. From the crank to block clearance, a lot of stuff. We aren't going to spin this thing past 6500 maybe on a crazy day 7K. I'm using the stock rods and custom Diamond racing pistons. We had to send the head to Diamond so they could digitze the combustion chamber to make the pistons. Here is a post from the thread.

The final bore is 85mm, we were looking for 84.5. But there isn't a large ring selection for the specs we want. In going to this bore somethings have changed. The half point in bore size along with a 4cc dome puts the compression at 15.01 (actually 14.94). Displacement 3.458 or 211 cu in. We are going with a low tension ring set. Which will be no problem since we will use a dry sump port for crankcase vac. Also the pistons are gas ported. We also ran an engine analyzer program just to see some figures.

Piston Speed--- Vol Eff % (85mm throttle [email protected] )

3000 rpm-2000--- 83.8
3500 rpm-2333--- 88.9
4000 rpm-2667--- 94.1
4500 rpm-3000--- 99.8
5000 rpm-3333--- 101.1
5500 rpm-3667--- 100.0
6000 rpm-4000--- 100.8
6500 rpm-4333--- 94.8
************
7000 rpm-4667--- 89.6
7500 rpm-5000--- 87.1

We aren't looking to spin this engine past 6500..if that. I'll save the Tq/Hp numbers for the dyno Just some numbers to chew on.....

Daaayyymmmm man....okay [email protected] crank 6000 rpm. Tq peaked @ 5000rpm -365 lbs. At 3000 rpm tq is 254 lbs You get the idea. 5000 rpm is 341hp/365 tq At 6000 rpm tq fell to 349. Gotta love that stroke..
