Has anyone installed sub-woofers in the "storage" space inside the interior rear quarter panels? This would be behind the wheel well and in addition to the stock rear speakers (not instead of). We are thinking of doing this and wondered if anyone had done it, had advice, suggestions, comments? Pictures would be really nice  !

Thanks! :)

You'd have a hell of a time getting anything bigger than an 8" in thee without having to do some really major work to the interior panel. It would also be really hard to get to the side marker light back there once the enclosure was in place.

That being said, yes, you could do it. The enclosure would pretty muchhave to be a permanent addition to the car, without being removable. You'd have to build it in behind the quarterpanel structure in order to get any decent cubic footage.

I did something similar in another car, and got 1 8" in each quarterpanel. It worked fairly well overall.

I looked into doing it as well, and came to the conclusion that A 10 is a certain fit, though a 12 could if it were to stick out into that cavity a bit, and that might make the targa less than fun to put in without making contact.

That said, the space and volume potential are there, just a bitch to try to glass it up.
