Today a powerful street driven Supra of a well-known/respected member of the mkiv.de forums was shown in a German TV show called "Grip motor magazine".

Unfortunately there are no English subtitles but here's the video

Translation for those that don't speak German. Freaking Fast and I love the engine bay it is sick good representation in Europe.

My favorite part is hearing Vin Diesel speak German I did not know that he was so brilliant. J/K

Mathew has a meeting at an Air strip near Berlin to meet Sammy with his Monster Supra, that is street legal.

I dont want to do this word for word it will take way to long. What is being said, this is the gist.

Sammy is a fan of the fast and ferrous movies so he took 2 MKIV Supra Turbos and built this one out of them both. Sammy says the F&F supra was only 500hp and his is 1,200hp. From 0-300 the Supra takes only 15seconds under ideal conditions.

At 2:20 Matthew is saying he can not describe the feeling from the rear end of the car when your in it... you have to feel it.

Sammy has 30,000 Euros invested in his Supra. Sammy's goal is to have the fastest street legal car in Germany. In daily driving Sammy limits the car to 500hp but his goal is still there. But today Sammy is going full force. The 2.5km is long runway is long enough to let the needle scratch the 300km setting.

Just before 3:00 Matthew is saying its unbelievable how fast the car is. Then Matthew talks about the scene from the F&F movie the 10 second car, then they show the 1st F&F movie scene. Then Matthew says the 1/4mi is 402meters, then he talks about the show down between the actors and cars. Then Matthew makes a joke that Vin Diesel's 10 seconds of freedom is actually 34seconds in the movie. So then Matthew questions if you can actually do 40meters a second, then he says in holly wood sure. But who would Vin Diesel do here?

Then Matthew asks Sammy is his Supra is a 10 second car. Sammy says it is a 10 second car and he wants to see how it performs today. Then Matthew says they are going to test it in the 1/4 mile.

The voice over talks about this is why Sammy built it for the 1/4 mile. Then they say the big turbo needs more air cause it takes in 5 times more air then the oem little ones.

Then Matthew says its a big turbo and big stress for the car and Sammy is now going to do a burn out. Then Matthew points out how the car does not show KM but MPH.

"And because it was so nice we will show it again" -Matthew

Them Matthew says Sammy is turning his Supra into the red zone...

Then Mattew says the car is really bad it did 10.3sec, yeah good man.
He means bad as in good by the way..

For all Grip fans this is how you get my heart. Then Matthew asked to drive. The Japan racer is now at the right temp to drive. Then Matthew does not waste any time he just gets going.

Matthew says he can only say 2 words about this Japanese car... then he says 2 Japanese words... I cant make out the 1st word he says but the 2nd is kamikaze, which means divine wind.

Then Matthew shifts and says thats a party, then Matthew says via voice over that this car is above the car from the movie cause this actually is a 10 second car.

Matthew says some slang words that mean he thinks its fantastic that the car really does push you in the seat like in the movie. Then Matthew laughs that in the movie you have to push on the button and in Sammy's car you get the same feeling without the NOS.

Then Matthew says its not possible to have the feeling of being pushed into your seat like in the movie with only 500hp. Then he says the power on Sammy's car pushes you into the seat, this is normal and then here it goes. Then he says PA PA PA Paaaa

Matthew says you know Sammy in the F&F movie they drift the whole day.

Matthew wants to drift to so now he is asking a hypothetical question. "Can you car drift?"

Sammy says when you give it gas it can. Then Matthew says all you have to do is give it gas and the car drifts, ok I'll do it.

The voice over says:
This is not holly wood this is not computer animated there is nothing fake, this is real right here on Grip.

Then Matthew says: edddd dd Pow

Hollywood vs Brandenburg, movie vs reality, yes the hp junkies exist not only in the movies but they are among us.

Matthew says man your sick, how can you dream up a car and shake the 300km out of your sleeve. We drove a lot of cars already at Grip with 300, 500, 600, 800hp but non of the cars are as bad as this one.

He puts his hands over his face and says some slang that I cant understand and then Matthew says his hands are shaking.

Matthew says thank you Sammy for the wonderful day it was fantastic.

Well there you all go... that took me a little bit but I hope you all appreciate it. - from me

Well done RogueSupra

This episode was all about Fast&Furious myths (chapter 1: NOS tuning, chapter 2: horsepower junkies, chapter 3: parking garage drift), they were looking for a fast street car for chapter 2. The guy in the show isn't a big fan of those movies and so aren't most Supra owners over here, it was all part of the script. Just skip the F&F scenes.

Freakin' well done! ;-)

They couldn't chose a better representative of the German Supra community. There are too many guys talking too much bullshit over here. Sami is a really calm guy and one great fella to work with who knows what he's talking about.
Usually "Grip" is all about bullshitting and dubious reports, consider it the tabloid amongst German TV car shows. But this article is exceptionally well done, so does Sami's Supra.

@Gery
Hey, how ya doin? It's JFan...you beat me to posting this video..haha :-D
