I come from a long line of GMC/Chevy fanboys, and everyone I live near thinks that the Toyota supra MKIV is just another "Sake suckin' rice burner". I try to convince them that it's a rare performance oriented car thats capable of big HP. But all I get in retort is "Oh my mustang with 400HP can walk any Supra you can get out here to race!"
I tell them, and tell them " $1500 in mods (BPU) can get you into Viper territory!" But they are just haters, and the only way the'll beleive me is if I show them myself!
I personally am a big fan of the Supra and Toyota in general, and I own a 88 MKIII Turbo, and I want to show them whats up. Is it AT ALL possible to make my car competitive with $5000? And if so, what are some of the more important upgrades I should consider? Maybe this should go in the MKIII forum, but I wanted more people to read my plight. Because right now I have no way of backing up my words.
My MKIII is in great running condition, and it's bone stock. At this point I have raced, a Bonneville SSI supercharged, and won (Just barely). And I've raced my brothers Camaro RS (89' 305 TBI) and lost. What can I do to my car to be able to beat the Camaro, and maybe even that Mustang?
Any help would be appreciated.
