I just bought a 87 supra. The car runs great and interior is as if no one has sat in it. I took it out for a spin yesterday and i was making a hard left turn, and on the right side i hear this sound like a metal piece broke or something. I stop, pull over and there is nothing unusual. I looked under the car and see nothing. So i drive home and mess with the car a little more, notice nothing at all. 30 minutes later, i pull out of the drive way and turn the wheel to the right and I hear the same noise. My friend thinks its the tie rods. But not too sure, can anyone tell me what this could be?

I would guess wheel bearing. You will hear a weird pop noise. The way to check the wheel bearing is get the tire up in the air and grab the top and bottom of the tire and wiggle it forward and backward. If it moves a pretty good amount, then there is your problem. If it is still very tight, then I would get under there and start looking at the other steering and suspension pieces.
