Hey all,

I was driving my supra today (7m-gte) and i did a bit of a launch off a light, and all of the sudden the car stalled for a second, and then i lost all power. I pulled up into a parking lot, and my car was puffing out major black smoke and surging between 300-700rpm. Any idea what could've happened?

black smoke = fuel, youre running very rich, check AFM, boost leaks, anything pertaining to fuel

power as in the electrical was dead , or the engine was running poorly ?

check and see if your AFM unplugged or if anything happened to the 02 sensor wires..

Thanks a bunch guys.

After a bit of trouble shooting it looks like a large chunk of the hard plastic piping coming from the intercooler snapped off, which was causing the wonky air/fuel ratio.

Yep I was gonna say it sounded like a boost leak. That happened to me as well but I was lucky enought to just put the hose and clamp back on, then hit the road again.
