i remember watching that bond with the 2000gt. for all the in car shots, the speedometer blatently said "0". you would think they would try and edit that out or something.

Well, in those times film editing was not as developed as today.
And such little mistakes don't ruin a nice movie, do they?

btw: How many 2000GT are still on the road today? I myself never saw one and never heard of a running one. :(

Well the MKII looks like shit to me now but I was a kid when that came out and when I first saw it, I thought It was incredible therefore the same could be true for the MKI

Lots of people think that the 79 Supra is ugly. Well Back then I tough it was the shit. I wanted one of them and they looked great. Then it came along the MKII and I tough it looked a lot better (and it did). Same as with the MKIII, but along came the MKIV and I think is the best looking Supra ever. It all depend on the trends, and I'm sure that 20 years from now people will believe that the MKIV was an ugly ass car.

Then I tough tha the MKI was awsome, now I think that it is a piece of crap compared to the MKIV.

My first car was a 'crap brown' 1980 Celica with tan vinyl interior. My best friend got a Maroon w/ Black Leather '79 Celica Supra. Both were 5-6 years old but we rarely tried to pick up chicks in my rag that's for sure. and aren't we lucky that Toyota even gave it a shot? Where would we be if they hadn't? Driving Camaros?

Cool ad.

yea, all the movie stars drove those back then
the car was NEVER cool, nor was ANY toyota considered cool in the mainstream back then to own
Wrong.
Do you have any context for your statement - like being of driving age then?
Supras were "cool", as were a lot of Toyotas. (not like they are now, but good, nonetheless).

What will you say in 2009 if someone says the same about the MkIV? :stickpoke
