With the success and growth of last year’s Supra’s In Vegas (SIV) - SIV is back for a Third year of fun, shenanigans, great cars and good friends.

October 4 – 6, 2013

Friday, October 4: Meet at the Excalibur Parking structure (top floor) at 10:30am, roll down the 159 towards Red Rock Visitor Center, hang out, take our traditional Scenic Loop Dr. for a nice 13 mile safe cruise with a line of awesome Supra’s. Then head to RED ROCK CASINO for our KICK OFF LUNCH.

Red Rock Casino and will be accommodating us at their FEAST Buffet. We have reserved their hall for our Luncheon and the cost will be $16.00 per person. This includes the tax, buffet, gratuity and your drink. We need to have a head count confirmed no later than August 31, 2013. If you plan to attend please submit your $16.00 by that date. Friday, October 4, NIGHT: After the cruise we relax and prepare for some fun at the Drag Strip. Meet at 7:30pm at the Excalibur parking structure and roll out to Vegas Motor Speedway. Open “Legal” Drags open up at 8pm and run till Midnight.

The cost is $15.00 per car and $5.00 per additional person, paid directly to LVMS. We will all park together, hang out and watch the cars run. The line was not that long so I know some of us ran at least 5 times that night.

As always there will be an Award for the fastest times, for MKII, MKIII and MKIV.

Rules are simple:
- Car must be driven to the track – no trailers
- Must have valid license plate, matching registration, and drivers license
- Spectators are $5.00 each and it is $15.00 to run your car and park in the SIV area (PAID DIRECTLY TO THE TRACK OFFICIALS)

Show n’ Shine: ALSO MORE DETAILS SEE POST 423

Due to the large number of cars participating, we will require that all participants for both pre-register by September 1, 2013. This will allow us to keep things organized and ensure things run smoothly for all event participants. I would STRONGLY encourage registration by the stated deadline rather than counting on space being available after September 1st.

I'll be there. This is great, Miguel. This early announcement should enable anyone who's interested the ability to make plans right now to make their attendance a reality. Instead of the five-months that guys had last year to secure vacation time, get their cars ready and budget the expense for attendance, they have 10-months to make this happen. No excuses my Supra brothers and sisters. Let's make it happen!

Ken.

#5 ·
Already up past 30 people on the Facebook page, can't wait We will have an awesome event this year

#6 ·
I'm so excited about this. I'll be back from my deployment in time and the car will be ready.

#7 ·
I hope to make it this year! Whoo hoo

....in my Tacoma :nervous:

#15 ·
i will def be there this year. Had to work last year but I will be taking a day or two off to make it happen
LOL, you Vegas Supra guys remind me of the people who live next to Disneyland in Anaheim and never visit the place. With or without your cars, ALL the Vegas peeps should show up for this event. Can I get an AMEN?(!)

Looking forward to seeing all you guys there.

Ken.

#9 ·
SD, I'm in Camarillo and we have another member in Oxnard, if you are still in San Marcos, you can join in with us for the drive.

PUTTING THE FENCE SITTERS ON BLAST

Guys and gals, time to say what you mean and mean what you say. If you are quoted below and have already registered, I apologize because this is from memory and only through page 16 (more coming). Time to make it happen ladies and gents. August 31st is five days away. This is NOT the Supra meet you want to miss! Can I get a witness?

Hey Ken,

I'm going to try to make it to this years event ... I've been going to Vegas since 2000, and 2012 was the first year I've missed in a while. Looking forward to seeing you there. I think perhaps a few other California Supras near me will make it also, I need to ask the local Fresno group if anyone is going.
Thanks for the reply Ken! I'll definitely be making the trip, just a matter of logistics. I'm looking forward to finally seeing the masterpiece, that is Blackie, in person. =)
In4theWin.

Bringing a few of Idaho's fastest with me. Maybe even a Brettophile
I'm considering working with Will (civicguy) to rent a trailer big enough to haul two Supra's and coming in. Any input on how which hotels are a safe bet to leave my investment outside of?
Ken, I do know Bill Perkins well (he actually lives about two blocks from me). I will cruise by his house this week and see if I can talk him into attending. His chiropractic business has really taken off in the last few years and he doesn't get to play much anymore.
I'm in, for the second year. With two of my Friends,

Nestor Rodriguez - Hesperia, CA. 1995 MKIV Hardtop
Freddy Chavez - Palmdale, CA. 1985 MKII P-type
Put me in as a maybe :)
I am down for this event. Gonna be a great time!
I want to go. I"m really going to try and be there. :facesjump
One of the pictures I took made it in the first post! I feel honored! :D I'll be there again this year without a doubt Miguel, besides two weddings this is the only other vacation I planned for. Can't wait to see old faces and meet new people!

- Nick
looks like i'll be going as well, after a long 10 year hiatus
As long as I can bring my X, I should make it again this year.
Getting my Supra back in order I will definitely be attending if I personally cant make it I'll make sure my car makes an appearance. Big Thanks to Ken for keeping this great event alive!!

Image
It's too bad that the drag racing is only for street legal cars, it would have been nice to finally get a 7 in Vegas in our red car.
I will be there for sure but with out the car. If I'm lucky I should have it painted by then but there's no way it will be reassembled and driveable by then. Still looking forward to seeing some awesome cars.
Well after all these years of being a recluse, it's about time I attended one of these events and met some of my fellow Supra Brothers, so I'll see you guys there!...Darshana S...
It would be an absolute pleasure for me and my brother (cierex) to attend this outstanding growing event. I am hoping to add some more pics this time around. I totally missed last year's. Can't wait to mingle and see some rad rides.
Miguel, let me just say thank you for once again dedicating your own energy, time, and money to bring us another Vegas meet. I think it speaks volumes for us as a community to be able to have these events annually. Also Ken, thanks for offering Miguel a hand by pulling the big names and OGs together to make this year's meet hopefully one for the record books. My attendance in recent years has been shameful, 2007 being the last one I went to. However, I've been working on this (what seems like) never-ending build for 3 years now and I have a feeling 2013 is gonna be the year I finally make the cruise out to Vegas in it again. With or without the Supra, I will definitely be in attendance and will be making my room accomodations and payments to Miguel via PayPal as soon as I discuss with two other owners (Len S. and Eric H.) as to what their plans will be. Len and I plan on coming out together, I don't know if he's bringing the Supra or the Lamborghini or the Lexus but either way, the more the marrier. SEE YOU GUYS IN VEGAS!! CAN'T WAIT!!

BTW, dunno if this has been discussed in this thread or even if the topic will be welcomed, but are we planning on doing some.... "Mexico" runs this year? :)
Go ahead and add me. I'm working on the few Mkii guys I know in CA, as well. No commitment as of yet but I will update if I get anything solid from them.

Austin Easley
Maybe I'm being an idiot, but the facebook event link doesn't seem to be working for me. Trying to search for the event isn't giving me the result either. Anyone else having trouble, or have another way for me to get to the event page on FB?

Nonetheless I plan to be there. Not certain if I'm bringing my car yet, but looking forward meeting some more of the west coast supra owners.

Justin
I'm in from AZ!
Wow, this event is really taking shape!
I just booked my room at Luxor. Its not 100% but I will definitely try and make it.

Noel, unfortunately it won't be. :-(
I must say, having not gone the last two years (after not missing one for 9 years), I just looked at the list of people going and I am actually excited about how many OG member's I am seeing that will be in attendance again... I am going to try my best to make it out this year just for the camaraderie that I have been missing with you guys. Now I must message other OG people to get them to go!! Been having Supra's on my mind lately like no other again.
im going to try to attend this...
haven't been to SIV since 05 or 06 (when it was at the Luxor). Might need to bring the IS if the drag racing is open at least :)
I'm considering making the long journey down! Would be a great way to "get to know" this car since I just purchased it recently! :D
I look forward to attending SIV!!
Unless something happens I will be at this :) Looking to lend a hand to fellow supra owners as I obviously will not be bringing mine(unless something changes)
I suck at the internet and probably missed it, is there a 6spd class?
Anyone Coming from ATL/NE AL SE region? Wife and I are considering taking a week and coming out for this but would prefer to caravan with some folks meet up along the way.
You have such a way with words that you can make even someone like me sound special :) I looked over the attendee list and there's so many great people/cars going that any supra fanatic will get their supra fix. I'm very excited about this year because it will be better then last and hope that it continues to grow. Thanks for all your hard work, Miguel , Ken and sponsors. Keep it up.

Will---- I got my car about a year ago. Hope to catch up with you at the next meet.

Saddle up boys and girls (that means get registered). It's time to have some fun.

Ken.

#12 ·
Looking forward to it, count me in.
Brent Huckaby

#13 ·
Miguel, thanks for taking charge of this event again, and with the early announcement we should all be able to make the appropriate plans to attend. The way the last two events have grown, I can only see SIV getting that much better!

I sent you my full registration via Paypal.

We need a good showing from the AZ members this year, similar to last year we will setup a caravan to Vegas for anyone interested in driving together.

#16 ·
Hmmm car will be runnin this year. I'm in Colorado which is not a bad drive, but I don't have sea level tune...

#18 ·
Vegas is 3000-feet ASL. I am sure you can figure something out. Besides, Jeremy Hepburn is suppose to be coming out from Denver this year. You should hook up with him and drag a few of our Utah brothers along with you on the way out. Now that you've got your car running again after all the pain and suffering you've been through, this should be the event you point to. Fun, fun, fun, my friend.

Hey Ken,

I'm going to try to make it to this years event ... I've been going to Vegas since 2000, and 2012 was the first year I've missed in a while. Looking forward to seeing you there. I think perhaps a few other California Supras near me will make it also, I need to ask the local Fresno group if anyone is going.
That's really good news, bud. Hopefully, you can organize the CenCal region and have some significant representation this year. The early announcement is to allow guys as much time as possible, given the time frames Miguel had to deal with, to make their plans to attend this event. Hopefully, we will see you there. Pass the word.

Ken.

#19 ·
well count me in, i should be back from my deployment by them for this event, just spend a few leave days on trip down there from Wa to NV

#20 ·
Ah ya Jeremy is a good supra friend and has helped me out alot. Good guy. Ill talk to him maybe get a caravan

#31 ·
Preston, this is wonderful. I haven't seen that beautiful RSP car of yours since the SPE Supra Appreciation Meet and it will be the first time we have been together in Vegas since SILV2008. So glad you responded early.

Thanks for the reply Ken! I'll definitely be making the trip, just a matter of logistics. I'm looking forward to finally seeing the masterpiece, that is Blackie, in person. =)
Hey, my friend, I know there are a couple more TX guys considering coming out. I'll PM you the one SN I recall. Maybe you guys can hook up and bring some brothers and sisters with you. Glad you're going to make the trip.

I'll be attending. Wes, Cody can work with you on a tune when we re-tune your car next month. You'll be fine in Vegas.

It looks like E85 is readily available in Vegas:
Jeremy, it will be so cool to have one of the most iconic Supras at SIV2013. Lots of fantastic builds like yours have recently been completed or should be completed by the time SIV2013 rolls around. The quality of the cars attending will likely be as high as its ever been and that white hardtop of yours will be front and center, I'm sure.

I don't live in Vegas, but three of my Supra buddies that do have E85 cars. I don't see its availability as a problem in the least, but several Vegas Supra owners have already posted in this thread and, hopefully, they will respond more specifically to your question. Would love to have you come out.

Guys, Sorry had not checked the forum over the weekend, busy preparing the Rugby team for the season opener and watching the 49ers advance to the Superbowl.

- I have updated the forum attendance list.

- LHTurbo, vegas is not at Sea level, it's ate 3000-4000 feet I believe, just a heads up. Also, if Colorado is planning on attending, PM me if anyone is interested in being the CO regional caravan guy to contact.

Thank you

- Miguel

Vegas valley is 2000ft (for those who are calculating details).

Edit -
For fun and some perspective:
Parts of Valley highways = about 2,100-ish ft
Red Rock Canyon = 3-4k ft
Lake Mead water level = 1,100ft
:D

Room booked! Looking forward to this, haven't been to a SILV in a couple years. Car is running like a champ too.

Your Facebook link doesn't seem to work for me. Can you invite me to your event?

It hasn't worked at all for me either. Even if I do a search, it doesn't pull anything up

Ok, count me in and a friend Evan. Also I know another owner just reserved as well. And two more most likely.
