Swapping in a TT Motor

I am getting an NA Supra this spring and I was wonder what kind of performance would occur if I just swapped in a TT motor and left the 5 Spd tranny?? Any knowledge wold be appreciated thanx.

You could do it... but you would lose the TT's gears, and you would be pretty limited as to what you could do with the 5-speed... I.E. almost no upgrades...

What about with an automatic tranny? would it hold?

OK... So do I lose top end then? Also what Mods would be affiliated with the tranny??

The NA automatic tranny isn't as strong as the TT but you could get a built one from SP or someone else.

I think with the money your going to spend on the engine, it would be wise just to throw in the extra to get the correct tranny.

i would just wait for a TT...the one that's right for you.
you would spend a couple more dollars..but..it's worth it from the pain later on...
